I know taking care of my mental health is pretty important, but it usually gets pushed to the back of my head until it’s really bad, like a lot of people. School and life reinforces that your mental health isn’t as important as your productivity, and this is something I’m still struggling to get out of my head. I’m working on prioritizing it more and taking care of myself now, especially in the pandemic. You either take care of yourself now or it catches up to you later! Reminding myself to take breaks, hang out with the people I care about, and listening to music helps me stay in touch with myself. These songs have helped keep my brain going recently, or helped me feel my feelings instead of repressing them.
