Without a doubt, Sada Baby is our favorite red-dreaded, hot-blooded rapper. Since his debut, the Detroit native has consistently shown up as one of the hottest talents with some of the most creative bars in the nation. But as of recently, his audience has grown bigger and bigger, bringing him more into the mainstream. With some of his more recent popular hits like “Whole Lotta Choppas” becoming Tik Tok and Instagram Reel favorites, more people are hopping on the Sada train. He is even being compared to big-time, major culture-contributing artists more and more. If you are one of the many that are familiarizing themselves with the Detroit rapper’s mainstream hits but are still new to his discography, here are 6 lesser-known Sada Baby songs to show love to:
“Probably”
A 2017 throwback, but still a diverse blap! On this track, we get a singing Sada paired with a hard-hitting 808 bass drum, and harmonies. In the ballad, Sada explains how paid he would be if he “sold all the drugs he did yesterday.” Many can’t relate, some can – either way, the track is so melodic and the hook gets stuck in your head the first listen.
“Skuba Says”
No doubt if you’re feeling drained and need a pick-me-up, Sada’s hollering will do the trick in a matter of seconds. “Skuba Says” off of the 1st installment of his “Bartier Bounty” project (there’s now a Bartier Bounty 2) definitely gives off flames and high energy. The hook alone puts you in a “head honcho” mood and there are too many great, creative bars to quote. For example – take this memorable quote from the 2-minute 47-second track: “Thousands on me right now we load up and slide down, bitch ain’t no pipe down, stupid bitch you pipe down..ay let me bite down, bet I pop a RP if I hit the white house.” FIRE.
“Let Me Bang”
This cutty 2017 track that not too many know about, or may have forgotten about, entitled “Let Me Bang” gives off pure turnt up vibes. Paired with a unique sequenced beat that fluctuates between fast and relaxed, Sada rides the whole 2:10 track with back to back bars and metaphors with no effort that outmatch many. After 1:12 “Let Me Bang” takes a toll on you and puts you in that “I don’t give a f*ck” type of mood…you know that mood that Katt Williams explained in Pimp Chronicles where you go in the club and make up your own dance. Make no mistakes this banger can turn the vibe up a thousand in any crowd. Here’s a notable quote: “Break it down b*tch I wanna see you do the cry baby, let’s get high baby wanna see you hit it hit it b*tch! get it get it b*tch!”
“Aktivated”
This song is the perfect hype track n to start off your night of partying. Sada Baby always gives you a reason to scream his bars at the top of your lungs for the culture. Over the 2:55 min track he talks being “aktivated,” the opps, “percs,” and more. The memorable hook makes you feel like you’re in a modern-day soul train line with all of your homies, especially with Sada’s scream adlibs in the background.
Sada Baby & FMB DZ – “Planet Of Apes”
On the single “Planet Of Apes” the troublesome Detroit rapper duo Sada Baby and FMB DZ talk “Big Ape” vibes being the new head honchos/big boss’s and all the amenities that come along with being a “Big Ape.” For example, in this quote, “Big ape n**ga walk in get to shit talkin, big ape n**ga bape print on my dishwasher, big ape n**ga Maserati in Atlanta, big ape n**ga just dropped a body in a Fanta.” The up-tempo simplistic Detroit type beat gets stuck in your head along with the hook and rest of the lyrics, which collectively makes this track a certified slap.
“Big Hot Cheeto”
On this record, the red haired Detroit Rapper gives us some insight on what it’s like being the “Big Hot Cheeto.” Sada Baby’s flow and bounce will have you two-stepping down the block. The heavy-hitting beat compliments the rapper’s effortless monotone bars to keep you wrapped in waiting to hear what creative metaphor follows the next. Sada explains that he’s the “Big Hot Cheeto” and that he’s a “big Glock keeper” who’s “been got even.” This is definitely the track to play if you’ve got haters and you want to have a quick cocky moment. This is something that Sada Baby does best which is showcased in this track. He knows how to make you feel like you’re the shit!
