Alright headbangerz first up we got Nerve Damage by the bass music legend MUST DIE! I love this track because it showcases his style in the best way possible; big epic synths playing a grand melody that lead into this absolutely disgusting drop that really just punches ya right in the gut!
Next up we got one of my favorite bass music producers: Chee. Turn up is one beast of a track to say the least! I love this song because its not only pushing the boundaries of bass music but also what we define as music in general because this song honestly sounds like my car stereo system getting murdered by a horror movie villain.
This next artist is known as a major innovator in the Dubstep sub genre known as Tear-out aka Deathstep and for inventing the Machine Gun bass. You may want to brace yourself for this one, Code:Pandorum wasn’t playin’ around!
Ok I think all I really need to say about this one is that it was hands down the biggest song in bass music all 2018. San Jose native Svdden Death absolutely dominated that entire festival season after this and let me tell ya, those mosh pits were insaaaneee! Good times, good times.
Ok back to the present; This next artist has been a huge inspiration to me for a long long time and Ive had this song repeat for a few weeks now. Virtual Riot is a german producer whose unparalleled sound design skills have changed the game in so many ways and is always pushing the scene forward with his incredible synths and melodies.
Next down the list we got one of my favorite new artists on the scene Moore Kismet — this ones for my trap listeners out there. Rumor is a beautiful blend of hard hitting bass and soft and bright melodies. Moore Kismet has definitely become a leading pioneer in the underground hybrid trap scene, don’t sleep on them!
Last but certainly not least we have the latest cinematic banger from one of dubsteps founding fathers Excision, co produced with Slander, featuring Elle Vee. I absolutely love this song because Slander nails the emotional ballad aspect of the song while Excision comes in swinging with the monstrous bass sound design that really emphasize the emotions of Elle Vee’s lyrics about a bad break up; thereby creating an electronic music ballad that will surely have the crowd crying and head banging at the same time at every festival and I. am. READY.
