Oakland music legends Sheila E. and her Bay Area non-profit Elevate Oakland are teaming up to host an unforgettable evening at the historic Yoshi’s Jazz Club featuring Sheila E, Juan and Pete Escovedo, George Lopez, Mahershala Ali, Stevie Wonder, Angela Davis, and more. The stream honors the fight for justice and the movement for Black Lives, and will be raising funding for services and infrastructure that directly support our communities and the people and places that make it so special. All proceeds raised through viewer contributions will go directly towards several national and Bay Area-based initiatives, including YR Media, that center on creative youth services and direct support for the movement to fight for freedom, liberation, and justice for Black lives across the globe.
